A deaf woman tries to reconnect with her rock star son after abandoning him 35 years ago, while she goes to his rock concert she has to face her fears and a world who doesn’t understand her.
With a low budget (2000 euro), the director Cristian Pascariu managed to make one of those shorts whose generous dosage of emotion resides in the story. The narrative thread can be ”read” even in an archetypal key: the mother sets off on a trip to see her long lost son. An element of romantic inspiration in the story is the contrast between the hearing problems of the mother and the musical career of the son. The result is touching movie, without side-slips into melodrama, a well received movie both in Romania as well as abroad, increasing the number of Romanian short films lovers.
