The collapse of the house on Popa Rusu Street.
This is a short film by Andrei Cohn about a family on the verge of separation. Gathered inside a house, the members of the family are forced to spend a Sunday afternoon together. A Romanian short film screened at Transylvania International Film Festival in 2013.

„Family Pictures” is a short film that captures a certain life style and family relationships approaching the end as well as a turning point in the history of an old house that was nationalized during the communist regime and is now asked back by the rightful owner. Sketched in the realism minimalist technique like so many other Romanian short films, alertly shot, with a dialogue from which violence is not missing, Andrei Cohn’s short focuses on the dysfunctional relationships of the family members gathered in the house on Popa Rusu Street.
The two brothers continue a competition that seems to have been going on forever, the lover of one of the brothers (the family’s Don Juan) feels inferior to the others, the father tries to hide some health problems, the mother channels her entire devotion towards the chutney sauce and the pumpkin pie. Surely, all these don’t happen for the first time, but now they seem more acute, as if the countdown has already started in everyone’s subconscious.
The short enters successfully the Romanian short films online list of Cinepub.ro.
