A young man comes home from work. When he’s ready to enter, he realizes that his wife is in bed with somebody else. The film is about his reactions and feelings in front of the door.
What hides behind a door? How intense can the scenario that both the character and the viewer imagine starting from the sounds that describe the limit-situation the main character faces?
„You know what I’m talking about” is built around the main character and its feelings that are going to extremes. The director starts from the sounds and creates a mix of states and emotions expressed by the main character.
We can see on the character’s face curiosity, fear, shame, disgust, regret, anger. It is one of those Romanian shorts realized in a witty manner, in which the director expands the key moment of the story, the scene of a love betrayal, observing in great detail the victim’s reactions.
”Hi girl! How are you?
Hi. Doing the readings for the watermeters. You?”
