Many are those who, during the communism times, felt just like Istvan – the little boy who finds himself visiting a place completely different than any other place or house he has ever visited before and who is determined to find (and to empty) the promised Pepsi bottle, which does not reach him in an official way, but at the end of a treasure hunt.
Included in the online Cinepub short movies collection, Peter Kerek’s film offers a perfect and subtle balance between the grey days nostalgia and the profound drama of a lonely mother who is ready to sacrifice anything in order to exit the country and to reunite with her husband in the Federal Republic of Germany.
