Tudor Panduru (Romania)
Romanian cinematographer passionate about visual storytelling and always in search of creative visual expressions for screen dramaturgy.
Born in 1989 in Piatra Neamt, he developed his visual sensibility by way of photography before studying cinematography at the National Film and Theatre University “I.L. Caragiale”. He also holds an MA in The Art of Cinematography from the same university.
He made his debut as a DOP in a feature film, Bacalaureat, with Palme D’Or winner Cristian Mungiu. The film has received praise internationally after its premiere and Best director award at the 2016 edition of the Cannes Film Festival, witch has been nominated in Manaki Brothers Film festival for best cinematography.
He is the author of cinematography for several Romanian and foreign features, shorts, documentaries and commercials. Several awards have recognized his work, at home and abroad.
