
Synopsis
Produced in UNATC, in 2017, Esmeralda is Andrei Tache-Codreanu’s exam film from the second year of his BA studies. It tells the story of Nea Diniță, the last villager to help with the archaeological diggings at the Histria Fortress.
PLOT SUMMARY
At the Ancient City of Histria, diggings have started to slow down, as all the experienced workers are retired now. The last man standing from the “old guard” is Mr. Diniță, a former librarian, who has been working for 16 years on the site.
