PLOT SUMMARY
The nostalgia for an era perceived by some as glorious sometimes causes a personal belief to become permanent and unbeatable. Petre Ignatencu, a high-performance kayaker and taxi driver in the 1960s, fervently believes that the collapse of communism in December ’89 was a colossal mistake of history.
In a present he considers turbulent and decadent, he hopes to revive the spirit of the Party and assumes the role of leader and rightful continuator of the socialist ideology. His actions are clear, determined, and full of enthusiasm. A documentary film aiming to be objective, devoid of sentimentality, and sprinkled with subtle humor, more or less involuntarily.
