PLOT SUMMARY
In a textile factory, the cultural supervisor falls in love with a typist. To impress her, he pretends to be friends with a famous composer whose operetta was to be performed by the company’s artistic brigade. However, the typist, an uneducated woman, sees him only as a means to become the protected one of an influential person.
CRITICAL REVIEWS
“I Don’t Want to Get Married” was quite a timid comedy, with satirical intentions, modest, but it had rhythm, a tone… invigorating, optimistic, and brought snippets of life to the screen. Not by chance, this film with its positives and negatives achieved a true performance for that time, that of giving more psychological consistency to the positive characters than to the negative ones, a fact not very common in cinematic production practice.” (Călin Căliman, Cinema Magazine 1976)
