PLOT SUMMARY

Doru, a lumberjack widowed for a week, knows he has to take Meda back to the orphanage, the girl they’ve had in foster care for eight years. To keep her, he needs to come up with money.

However, he’s in an isolated town where only logging and selling cows can bring legal income. After trying everything humanly possible, Doru is forced to resort to participating in poaching.
