The fourth episode of the ICAR series – The Alternative History of Romanian Cinema: ”Romanian realism with Cristi Puiu” re-creates the “15 years of realism. An evening with Cristi Puiu” event atmosphere and proposes to the viewer the discovery of an emblematic personality of the Romanian New Wave. The episode is produced by CINEPUB for Scena9.
Saturday, June 4th, Cristi Puiu won 15 Transilvania Trophy at Transilvania International Film Festival 15th edition. His most recent film, Sieranevada, was presented in the Official Competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May this year.
The video essay, signed by Lucian Georgescu and Marius Roșu, invites the viewer to discover the director who decisively influenced the recent Romanian film history and his strong, sparkling and unmatchable personality in a short film created in the independent spirit of cinepub.ro.
