The story moves forward through the centuries, dwelling on moments of great hardship, which challenged the very existence of the city, alternating with periods of flourishing, when Sibiu, increasingly powerful and prosperous, gained a dominant position in the region, becoming the commercial, religious, military, administrative and cultural center of Transylvania.
