Written and directed by Mihaela Popescu, „The Walk” is a courageous short film and, at the same time, a refined psychological analysis. The main character, played impeccably by Valeria Seciu, is an old woman who decides to live, for one day, an adventure that needs the courage of a lifetime. The character is filmed minutely, with patience for each moment of the going out of the house ritual.

Every mimic of the character tells a part of the life story of this woman who goes through every feeling from fear, to indecision, to uncertainty and then to determination and the action of coming back to life. Mihaela Popescu’s film has the force and the freshness of those Romanian short films recently made by young female directors who approach the femininity in unexpected ways, many times challenging social taboos.

A short film unique in its own way, present in many festivals, to be watched on, in the Romanian short films online category.
