A Surprising Night

“Date Night” is the comedy short film by director Stela Pelin, known for “The Wall” or Kurgan Oblast, short films that have traveled to festivals around the world. “Date Night” won the award for the best Romanian film at Timishort 2018, the IPIFF trophy for the best short film at Indie IPIFF 2018 and the award for the best Romanian short film at the Short Film Breaks 2018.

Synopsis

In “Date Night”, Andrei is fired from a car wash shortly before his wedding.

Andrei works at a crummy car-wash. Due to a series of unfortunate events he gets fired. This is terrible news for Andrei giving the fact that he is getting married soon. At home the couple gets in quarrel and Andrei tells a story to avoid the fight. Who knew this was going to be a bad idea?
