TRIVIA:
- Andrei Inizian is a Romanian director and screenwriter, born in Brasov in 1993, graduated from UNATC “I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest, Film Directing section.
- He initially wanted to be an actor, but later fell in love with film directing.
- “Two Nights in April” is his graduation film and is the first project realized with the support of the research center Cinetic.
- It premiered at the Next Film Festival, 2017 edition.
- The film was also screened during the “Super” Retrospective, a festival of films dedicated to teenagers. During the event, in a discussion with the moderator Alexia Drăgan (then “Super” ambassador; today also a film director) about the industry, workshops, the film faculty in Bucharest, how you approach working on a movie, what teamwork means and how to divide roles on set, Andrei Inizian advised the younger ones: ,“When you make movies, and you are just starting out, don’t be afraid to ask for help. For me, college was relevant because of the people I met and the connections I made.”
- Asked what he has learned from his experience so far, Andrei said that “it is very important to establish a network of competent people in the field, to find people with a similar sensibility to yours, because working on a movie is a team work and it is important to be compatible. Also, it takes practice to get things right and it’s very important to read everything – novels, stories, specialized books. That’s what I’ve learned from great directors.
