The 6th episode ICAR, signed by Marius Roșu and Lucian Georgescu, presents Cristi Puiu talking informally and with maximum sincerity about the difficulties a director faces during the production of a film. Every detail is important for the final result of the film: weather it is about the drivers, about the hotel and restaurant, about the van that needs to appear in the film, about the alcohol the team drinks sometimes excessively, including the director in his attempt to forget the problems that appeared during the day.
“Stuff and dough was a rough experience. Really horrible”, declared Cristi Puiu about the production of the feature film that opened the path for Romanian New Wave.
Three films by Cristi Puiu are available on CINEPUB: Stuff and Dough, The Death of Mr. Lazarescu and Cigarettes and Coffee.
